A range of preventive health services was provided during the camp, including Blood Pressure (BP) Check-up, Random Blood Sugar Testing, Bone Densitometry, Electrocardiogram (ECG), Height and Weight Measurement with Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, and Dental Examination. These investigations focused on identifying common health concerns such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, bone health disorders, and oral health issues. Blood Pressure screening helped identify participants at risk of hypertension, often referred to as a “silent killer” due to the absence of symptoms in early stages. Random Blood Sugar testing assisted in identifying individuals who may require further evaluation for diabetes or pre-diabetic conditions. Bone Densitometry testing, especially important for women’s health, created awareness regarding osteoporosis prevention, nutrition, and the importance of maintaining bone strength through exercise and healthy lifestyle practices. ECG screening was conducted to assess cardiac health and detect possible abnormalities requiring further medical attention. BMI assessment provided participants with insights into their overall physical health and associated lifestyle risks. In addition, participants received counseling regarding healthy diet, regular exercise, stress management, and preventive healthcare practices. The Dental Examination service was another important component of the camp and received significant appreciation from participants. The dental screening emphasized oral hygiene, gum health, early detection of dental diseases, and the importance of regular dental check-ups as part of overall wellness.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Medical Director Dr. JP Singh, whose leadership and encouragement played a vital role in the successful execution of the initiative. The medical team included Dr. Avinash Rai (Senior Consultant Medicine), Dr. Dimpy (Senior Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology), Dr. Kriti Baweja (Consultant Dental Medicine), Dr. Widhi, Dr. Charu, along with dedicated nursing and paramedical staff. Their expertise and patient-centered approach ensured quality care and personalized guidance for all participants.
The event was also graced by senior officials from Punjab National Bank, including the Principal of the PNB Training Centre, the Managing Director of PNB, Grade-I Officers, and other dignitaries. Their participation highlighted the growing importance of employee health and workplace wellness initiatives.
The successful organization of the Health Check-Up Camp reaffirmed our hospital’s dedication towards preventive healthcare and community well-being. The initiative concluded with positive feedback, active participation, and meaningful health impact, serving as a reminder that awareness, early screening, and preventive care are essential foundations for a healthier future.
